About Us


Carlos Sol is a U.S. citizen born in Argentina.  He worked for Molinos Rio de la Plata, a US$ 1 billion company in Buenos Aires, as Assistant Brand Manager, managing sales operations for various product lines, including preparation and execution of advertising campaigns and exports to neighboring countries. 

 

In the U.S., he worked for seven years as Operations Manager for Gamma Enterprises, an import/export company located in Los Angeles.  He was responsible for the entire business operation, including logistics and transportation for Rockwell International and Renault items coming in containers from Brazil and Argentina. 

 

As Export Manager for Asia and Latin America for St. Ives Laboratories, Carlos was in charge of searching, finding, and selecting new distributors as well as managing existing ones.  He also planned and executed marketing and sales activities, including advertising and promotional campaigns for new and existing distributors in 19 countries with annual sales of US$ 20 million.  Carlos worked in the preparation of contracts, product registration and trademark issues.   

Since 1992, as the owner and founder of Connections Unlimited, Carlos and his team of professionals have been building an extensive network of Manufacturers and Distributors of products sold in supermarkets and related stores across Latin America. He also works as a Consultant for US and foreign firms.

 

Carlos holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a two-year Certificate in International Trade and Marketing from U.C.L.A. He worked as a Consultant at the SBDC (Small Business Development Center) and the CITD (Centers for International Trade Development).  Carlos also trained students and businesspeople at Pepperdine University, U.C.L.A. (University of California, Los Angeles), College of the Canyons, the L.A. Chamber of Commerce, VITA (Valley International Trade Association), and CSUN (California State University, Northridge). In 2014, his company, Connections Unlimited, won the World Trade Week Award, honoring Service companies for sustained exceptional service and commitment to world traders.

 

Carlos speaks English, Spanish, and some Portuguese.  He travels extensively to local and overseas markets.
